    one of the things that is broken in the current system is the Senate, and to fix that you need a change to the Constitution, as as that will result in small red states giving up power, it's just not going to be ratified by 3/4 of the state legislatures. So IMO it is beyond repair. Not to mention Citizens United, how is that ever going to be rolled back?

      points, and I would say things are 95% beyond repair (though it's possible the CU ruling could be rolled back), but then again there was the Gilded age, which was more or less like today, and we got through that.  And the Civil War, slavery, etc.  I'm not saying there is a LOT of hope, we're just not at zero yet.  How do we turn things around?
