        but he gave the impression to many people that he did with the trial balloon games of summer 2009.

        Also seems a safe starting point for a negotiation if you know it won't pass but still gives you leverage in the negot.

      Only 25% of the population supported single payer, including Dems who didn't support it.  Obama never supported it, he thought it was the best solution, but that we couldn't get there from where we are.

      Obama didn't change on that.
