posted a dismissive diary inferring you have read the Presidents' mind. Wouldn't that time have been better spent finding out if your Rep. or Senators agree with Bernie's resolution? Or thanking the people that have already signed on?

Or looking at the rec list to see the dozen of these "OMG the President has caved diaries?

Gotta get out of here. Reading pages of bashing the President is not helping, not informative.

      ever more rapidly.

Afghanistan? We now stay for 10 more years.
Iraq? So much for leaving early.
DADT?  The Obama APPEALED  a judicial victory.
      Domestic Surveillance? He's increasing it.
GITMO? how'd that closing end up, anyway?
Single payor? Do NOT get me started.
Tax cuts for those over 250k a yr?

George Bush would be on board with Obama's program these days. It is more conservative than what anyone ever imagined in 2008.

10 more years in Afghanistan? When did Obama ever support single-payer? And where exactly have you heard support for tax cuts for those making 250+K a year? This is just a combination of exaggeration, speculation, and apparently totally misremembering what Obama campaigned on.

over Afghanistan, and how the exit strategy needs to be (ahem) reviewed?  Do you ever apply logic to strong indications like that?

              amazing.

...but I guess I left out the knee-jerk over-reactions. I'll try to work on that.

There is absolutely no reason to believe that Obama plans to keep the war in Afghanistan going for another 10 years, as you claimed.

                    •  sigh. (0+ / 0-)

they have telegraphed clearly that the 2012 date is shot. The mention of 2014 seems to be making the rounds.

Last weekend, there were estimate of 10 more years being needed. Today, another military expert, with ties to the WH was on MSNBC, stating at a minimum 8 yrs are needed, and it would not work for sure unless we stay for 10.

18 years of occupation in a country that does not want us there?

Unlike you, I don't believe everything I see in the press. I especially worry about being played, or becoming a victim of propaganda. I smell this whole Afghan issue as a potential nightmare, that will be extended, extended again, and yet again. And the "experts" out in force this past week reinforced that sense.

You don't believe everything you see in the press, and so... when you see someone on TV saying that 10 more years are needed in Afghanistan, you immediately believe that's what the Administration is planning for! First-rate skepticism, that is.

Obama is simply a Republican ENABLER.

      •  You did not respond to ONE of my questions. (0+ / 0-)

Care to try again? I thanked Bernie Sanders, I emailed my two Senators, I requested that Kerry inform me when his Medicare bill is introduced in this lame duck session.

        About your unimformed rants.
Gitmo was not closed. Republicans refused to pay for the necessary revamping of the federal prison. People of that city wanted the prison, it would provide jobs.

Afghanistan? Please provide link to ten more years. Not a military link, a Presidental link. You cannot.

There are 50K military in Iraq. They are training Iraqi military, police, and guarding USA and other NGOs and diplomatic people. Please provide link that they are initiating fighting.

DADT. The administration, by law, must fight it. A report will be issued in December. One high ranking official has already agreed it is doable. The culture needs to be changed.

Domestic Surveillance. What are YOU doing about it? Have you wrote an Action Diary, or an LTE? or do you just list mini rants when commenters politely ask you questions that you prefer not to answer?

Tax cuts for over $250K? That will depend on how this trial ballon goes over. Pressure on Congress, thanking Critters that agree, LTEs publicizing critters that don't. Action, not ranting or whining.

You may feel better after ignoring questions, listing mini rants. It is not discussion, it is ignorance. Does not help get one thing on your list, & rude besides.

Shows your ignorance, if you don't know how Gitmo worked, how to pressure Congress (free fax is available, did you know that? Helps to reach out of state critters.)

I KNOW gitmo was not closed. That was my point.  Do you really think that Clinton or Bush, or even W would not have made it happen, if they wanted to?  Of course, they would have.

Afghanistan? This weekend, the last few days, military experts (with the approval, or at least tacit winks and nods from the WH) have been admitting that afghanistan is a failure, and that we have to stay longer. The administration has let it out that 2011 and 2012 dates are not workable. Others have been spreading the word that 10 yrs is the minimum time we need there.

Not one objection from the WH. Ergo, we are being prepared, very carefully, for the bad news.

On Iraq, bullshit. There are 60,000 troops, but 180,000 private contractors, many of whom are as heavily armed as the military.

DADT. The administration, by law, must fight it.

That's like saying slavery must be defended because it is the law of the land. Jezuz christ, where do people come up with logic like this? My hand are tied, so we must support unconscionable laws? How has the WH acted? They defended the law, and appealed the finding of unconstitutionality. If a law is unconstitutional, the DOJ HAS THE CHOICE NOT TO APPEAL. That is basic constitutional law. Shit, I taught this stuff. It is simply a false argument that they need congress to repeal something. All they had to do was admit that the federal court was right, and refuse to appeal. THEY DID THE OPPOSITE.

Domestic surveillance? I've spoke to Durbin's office, on several occasions. I've written, I faxed the White House, and I have written LTTEs. I've voted, I even drove people to the election site. At some point, our president has to take responsibility, and this one is falling rapidly, and failing horribly.

You, sir, may be curious, but you also strike me as an ass.
