  •  Don't bet on it. (4+ / 0-)

None of the other contenders for the nomination (Romney, Huckabee) is going to be content to hold the door open for Palin.

This may, in fact, be Step #1 in the "Sarah Palin has outlived her usefulness; now lets throw her to the wolves and nominate someone who we can control" campaign.

While Palin's an ignoramus; she's also an ignoramus with an independent streak.  I fear what might happen should she win the election--but the powerbrokers in this country have reason to fear her as well.  The big difference between her and W is W was happy to play along.  Palin?  Who knows.

At any rate, the rules and content of the debate will tell us a lot.  If it's just a bunch of softballs, Palin can do well.  If the candidates actually get to, you known, debate each other, then she might find herself skinned and gutted.

w was happy to go along because he felt important and that he actaully was a person of power.

palin will be even more easily manipulated because she is so goddamn stupid.

    •  Ugh. SHe (0+ / 0-)

shared a stage recently with Rick Perry on Wednesday. I'm fully expecting both of them to toss their hats in the ring.

    •  It's not going to be a debate, (0+ / 0-)

it's going to be an infomercial. Softball questions by some Fox talking head (maybe Juan Williams to show the GOP's "diversity").
