In 2008, panic stricken at the thought of Palin, it all became very simple for me.  Of course I was for Obama, of course I followed every bit of the election, went to a couple move-on meetings, etc., but the Palin thing crystallized everything for me.  Either defeat them or move my family out of the country.  I come from a family of refugees, in a way.  People who knew to get out before the going got hideous...SO - the obvious and simple solution was:  We've got to simply Outnumber them.  Can't change their thinking - that's obvious.
How do we outnumber them?  Duh...register voters.  Who?  Young voters.  For the next two years REGISTER EVERY 18 YEAR OLD YOU CAN GET A HOLD OF.  In 5 days I registered 150 voters, and then got them to register voters...and so on...and so on.  Yes, his presidency is all due to me personally (ha ha) - but seriously - how many more 18-22 year olds will there be in 2012?  We should focus on simply OUTNUMBERING them, rather than convincing people - or even reinforcing to ourselves the danger of the Palin-esque ascendency.  Outnumber them.  Let's go people.  Carry voter registration forms around.  Constantly hand them out to young people.  Arguing with neanderthals is a waste of time and energy.

We've got one hanging around the house, for lack of work, who I've gotten registered, and who is just itching to vote in 2012.

      Highly recommended, good comment!
