It seems like the louder we get---the more we try to "make them do it"---the more they get all pissy and move in the other direction.  Hell, anytime Michael Moore opens his mouth with a fantastic and practical idea that would boost the economy and relieve suffering, it's a guarantee it won't happen.  Shut up, Michael, you jinx! (Kidding.)

We can't "make them" do anything.  They've got their agenda, their ideas, their plans, their consultants, their advisors, their pollsters, their bankrollers, etc. etc.  They're doing what they want to do when they want to do it.

Not saying progressive things haven't gotten done or that we won't get more in the future.  But "make me" isn't panning out.

In fact, I'm reversing roles.  Hey, Obama, make me do something you want me to do!  Go on...make me!  I'll be sitting here waiting.  You think you got the stones to move me?  Gimme your best shot, dude.

What's that?  "Pay your taxes or I'll bust your ass and put you in a cell with 'Tiny' the skullcrusher?"

Um...yes, sir.  Whatever you say, sir.
