  •  You really think there's an analogy there? (0+ / 0-)

Between boycotting a province of a country with a market economy primarily driven by trade, and boycotting entire nations with firm non-market ideological commitments?

That's not too clever -- particularly given that we have cases of market-driven economies (South Africa) who made much more radical changes under the pressure of boycotts.

You know, it helps to pay attention to facts on the ground rather than generalize based on gut instinct. Very Bushian of you.

    •  Oh so smart you are-- (0+ / 0-)

Tell me again how in the Arizona context, with "voter preferences" being what they are, cutting a corner off tourist dollars is going to dislodge a reactionary political structure. Kind of like happened with the other two nations mentioned. Seems to me that the boycott just might help entrench the reactionaries, and help the Big Red Anti-Liberal Machine to sell another round of descent into the feudal age of post-Imperium.

Not to worry -- though, there's hate and sneer enough to go around. Take your best wonk-shot, since there's such a range of facts-on-the-ground to choose from.

Glad we are nominally on the same side, however, and glad to have given you the chance to feel superior.

      Peace 'n Love, Brother/Sister...
