  •  I now hope Obama will cave sometime (7+ / 0-)

The Cat food commission was the last straw for me.  There are simply not sufficient excuses left to make this Presidency different than what it seems - a cave in at best to the most reactionary forces in the country.    I hope the President retires.  Till then I hope liberals come to understand that they should count him on the other side of almowt any issue they hold dear - with the exception , MAYBE, of holding off a Republican dismantling of that mixed bag health reform.

Retire the cat food commission No mandates without a public option! Bandaids to conservative state governments are not a jobs program. Retire, Obama Retire!

Not yet. That any democratic president would have even begun the process is beyond my belief.  These things take on a life of their own and God only knows,(or doesn't) where this will go now.  And yet the man can't simply say no to cat food and stick with it.  If he meant it all he has to do is say he would veto any cuts in social security.  Did he say he would veto cuts in social security?  If so, I missed that.  Please inform me.  What he said is, all things are on the table.  Well all things include cat food casseroles for seniors. This is serious shit. Old people eating cat food so they could survive and afford their medicine happened in my life time.  It's not just a catchy phrase.
