The point is that it presently looks like we will not have any national legislation or regulation on climate change for the next two years of this Congress and any international agreement will have to wait that same period out.  There are many other national, regional, state, and local efforts that are already underway.  We can support and expand those and lobby like hell to get through to the deniers (solar is civil defense, $400 a gallon fuel to Afghanistan is unsustainable and dangerous for the military, renewables and efficiency are jobs, jobs, jobs...) but what we will get, perforce, will be piecemeal and ad hoc and DIY.  It can be DIY together, linked and networked to move the political will in our direction, or diffuse and individual but it will be DIY no matter what on the national and international level.

There are things we can do together, without Washington DC or the World Bank.  350.org and other groups could evolve into a global brainstorm of practical solutions that could force the hand of the politicians and big money boyz like Koch and Exxon.

That's what I'm saying.  If we all do it together at once, it magnifies the impact and drives the point home.  How about a global climate work party once a month?

Solar is civil defense. Video of my small scale solar experiments at solarray.
