  •  A pay freeze is not 'suffering' (0+ / 0-)

A pay freeze is what I would call a 'normal course of events during a global recession'.

A pay freeze is what I would consider a 'reasonable adjustment' for federal workers, who have enjoyed inflation + 3% pay increases annually over the last 10 years, while private sector employees only had inflation + 0.8% over that same period.

It's amazing how transparent your jealousy is of other working people. I am sorry if you are stuck in some dead end, low pay job that makes you feel that way. I am more sorry for you if you make a good salary but think these other people deserve to make less.

But, hey, we can argue here all night and I won't be able to instill a sense of class consiousness in you (if that's appropriate, and you are not one of the privileged class). On the other hand, you won't be able to get me to embrace your enviousness. So let's call it quits. Feel free to have the last word if you want.
