  •  This has been kicked around a lot, but not so (6+ / 0-)

    much here perhaps. There have been some diaries on it here though, with action items even, as I recall. The problem is that up until quite recently, it really had the appearance of a market consolidation bill aimed at driving organic and family/truck farms out of business. This led to a lot of wrangling about whether to be "pragmatic" and support a bad bill, or to be a big stoopid and exalt the perfect over the good.

    It is good to see it fixed up and passed, and is something that this freaking Congress has actually done to benefit the people.

        there is at least a reasonable exemption for small farms, which was one of the major flaws in the original, a sin of omission, not of commission.
