      If the leadership's plan doesn't work out and the bill does get killed, I'll be happy to call out those responsible.  But I think this thread is slightly premature -- a one-day delay won't have any policy implications.

      That being said, calling your Member of Congress tomorrow (offices tend to open at 9 AM EST) and telling them to vote NO on any motions to recommit and YES on S. 3307 can't go astray.

      Anything they do pass in the house won't make a damned bit of difference if it doesn't pass in the senate, where it's even LESS likely to succeed.

      But don't let that minor fact interefere with a good "kossaks be hatin" thread.

        already passed the Senate.  Final passage in the House will send it to President Obama's desk.

        That's why the Republican tactic for defeating it is to add a relatively innocuous amendment -- to force it back into the Senate where it will probably die.
