    He may be in touch with rap culture. But he isn't in touch with the needs of the American people.

    The separation between "rap culture" and "the American people" made this comment cross the line. However, technically, it was not HRable under he rules.

    So, I thought it better to just reinterpret it.

      I actually did. That's where "brush it off" came from, wasn't it?

      Here, I would defer to actual African-Americans, obviously, regarding the initial comment.

      So your use of the N* word was to say that the original poster was calling Obama that word.

      Do you feel like that sort of over-the-top, really heated rhetoric is being inflamed by similar over-the-top rhetoric stemming from the front page recently? I don't mean to reduce it to that. Obviously, racism always permeates politics and American culture. But the level of boldness in hateful rhetoric is pretty unprecedented on this site. Other than during the so-called Primary wars.
