Leaving the negotiating to little Timmy Geithner, Wall Street's water carrier.

How bout making a little sacrifice, Mr.President, give up Christmas Eve with you own family to visit the troops; you can be back home on Christmas.

    •  Speaking of being AWOL, it's (0+ / 0-)

now been five days since the Pentagon's DADT report came out - so to speak. The Senate hearings on DADT finished yesterday. An important Senate vote on DADT, attached to the Defense appropriations bill, is coming up.

The President appears before the cameras almost every day, or so it seems.

To date, unless I'm mistaken, the President has yet to say one word in public on the positive findings of the DADT report.

Some "fierce" advocate, we have here in the President of the United States.

than grateful for everything President Obama has done for the vets.

To imply that a Senate vote is more important than visiting the men and women who die everyday for America is beyond me.

Maybe MCCain may have been a better choice for you. Voting against the GI bill and now doing a flip flop on DADT.

Your claim of AWOL is misdirected.

      •  I'm sorry, I'm not implying that, politically, (1+ / 0-)

the President has been AWOL all week, I'm saying it directly, unequivocally. Witthout any hesitation.

I, as a veteran, give the President credit on other issues concerning veterans. I applaud the new GI bill

But the best thief, he can do for active duty soldiers is to end this unwinnable war.

And by the way, Obama could've flown to Afghanistan, today, right after the Senate vote. Raising taxes on an economically devasted middle-class is important; visiting and taking care of our troops is important.

        They're both important. Not either/or.
