Its a core of the economy.

Bob: Have you published the list of companies that manufacture using PIC for labor? That would be good to post again if you have before.

    •  We concern ourselves here (0+ / 0-)

with whether or not coffee is harvested and sold free trade and that cacao is harvested without slave labor in other countries.

Yet, we are still enamored of our cheap goods that contribute to the PIC because these things are affordable. Will we be willing, in this day, age and economy, to give these things up?

There's work to be done in re-adjusting values as well as laws. We have a lot to do.

We need to wikileak manufacturing processes in America to give consumers the choice of paying lower prices at the cost of human souls, or paying a little more or going without because the cost is too high for our principles and conscience.

made to stop using prison labor, their product costs to the consumer would increase...but they have made so many millions off of prison labor, that raising our prices would simply keep their profit margins static.

They have no care or concern for inmates or customers either. If they did, they would not have gotten involved in using what amounts to slave labor in the first place.

Now many of these same "players" - including ALEC - have moved their operations overseas and are starting to push for lower wages in countries where they went to keep from paying Americana a fair wage. There is absolutely nothing this cabal will not do to stay on top and keep the status quo. They are so dominant in our product markets, that trying to boycott them is nearly impossible. For instance: McDonalds, Starbucks, Microsoft, Boeing Aircraft, Johnson and Johnson to name a few with products we purchase daily. McDonald uniforms and plastic food utensils and paper products are made with prison labor...and I can see the type of anger we'd generate from the public by asking them to eat somewhere else. Problem is Taco Bell uses similar products. McDonalds and Wendy's are supporters of ALEC.

to keep everybody up on the companies using inmate labor. I have also posted the names of the corporations belonging to ALEC and/or support them and I'll repost those. Many corporate names are on both lists...as you would expect.
