    it doesn't fly. Sorry.

If you're curious, if you care, in my opinion President Obama is to the left of Goldwater by a long way. Again, just my opinion, anyone who says otherwise is wrong but nothing more than that.

As for comparing to politicians from a long time ago, it's just illustrative of how the country has been pulled rightward. Not so much the people, but the politicians, until it seems like it must be right to be where we are.

compared to Hitler by a pundit that is highly admired and respected here. What makes you think that the birth certificate issue won't become "normalized" as a point of disagreement with his policies?

Just earlier today someone commented on a FP article that Obama is a "serial liar" and nothing he says should ever be trusted anymore. To think of the president in this way means you have to be courting some serious CT theories about him.

"nothing he says should ever be trusted anymore" is over the top. It implies that he could lie about anything, including his height, and that's ridiculous.

I think there must be a qualifier, like "nothing he says about policy..." or something like that.

This doesn't even mean that he's lying. It just means that some have lost faith that President Obama will pursue what he says are his goals.

There's a lot of disappointment talking, that comes out as anger.

      •  Maybe you leave those comments in those diaries. (1+ / 0-)
