  •  Meanwhile, in House: "Profanity, anger spill ovr (12+ / 0-) House Democratic Caucus Meeting:

...The frustration with President Barack Obama over his tax cut compromise was palpable and even profane at Thursday’s House Democratic Caucus meeting.

One unidentified lawmaker went so far as to mutter "f--- the president..."

...The anger aimed at the bill was widespread. As Democrats moved to block the bill from coming up on the floor, chants of "Just say no!" could be heard by reporters outside the room...

OTOH, it's hardly surprising that "Fiscal Conservative" Clinton supports this bill that conservatives crafted:

Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton...shared many similarities, according to Caruso-Cabrera (CNBC anchor)...

Ronald Reagan, when it came to fiscal conservatism, really set the role model of how a president ... and Bill Clinton, even though he was a Democrat, you had free trade, welfare reform and a balanced budget."

"I actually see Bill Clinton as fairly conservative when you look at the results that came out of his presidency."

    Reaganomics, 2.0?

    •  I've repeated "one unidentified lawmaker" myself. (6+ / 0-)

      HR be damned.

Who could listen to Bernie read the letters from constituents suffering and not give a fuck.

      What kind of person.

    •  Over a year before the mid-terms, DEM Reps (3+ / 0-)

reported to Obama that the country was pissed and #1 was jobs.  He blew them off.  And had the audacity to blame those DEM reps for the mid-term losses.  Now -- before the GOP house takekover and still with a DEM Congress -- that man colludes with McConnell and demands they support a tax plan that Reagan would have loved.  Surprising that it took this long for DEM Reps to tell him to f-off.

      •  Apparently the WH version of "compromise" (2+ / 0-)

with progressive Democratic lawmakers for some reason isn't having the expected results of gaining their enthusiastic support.  But then, again, when this:

The administration's daily floggings will continue until morale improves among progressives.

...seems to be the sum total of the WH's strategy for dealing with Democrats who don't agree with them, it's hardly surprising that those Dems are getting less and less cooperative.
