    ...what's good about the interviews is that it humanizes the singers for people who may be trying out opera for the 1st or 2nd time, to show that they're not "above it all" or snobbish (or "cultural elitist"), i.e. for newcomers and not regulars.  So I'm willing to put up with that, and I'm sure the singers being interviewed understand that.  The people with the smartest comments are often those who have done the hosting, like Susan Graham and Renee Fleming, so they've been on both sides of the microphone.
