    than dangerous. They pump from the underwater aquifers which are part of the water-shed which does send water out of the Great Lakes. But it's comparatively minute right now. I'd go so far as to say there's more evaporation in 60 seconds than the amount of water they pull all year...just making that number up, but it's relatively small.

    Not to say it's not a potential danger to put the stomp on. More, they suck water that is used by regional farmers, lowering the aquifer levels.
