You must translate for us "southerners".

    Aero bill for windmill power?

I always wonder about people who have only electric and no natural gas.  There are some sound arguments for electric only, but the two against are pretty simple - power outages REALLY suck without hot water or hot food and if all you have is electric, then rate increases really add up.

stix also but we have electric and propane. I always laugh when some outfit calls telling me I can save on natural gas!! No dude - see I have this big tank of propane and they come fill it! Our big project last year was a 31kw generator that runs on propane so that we can keep most everything running during a pg&e power failure.

"I have ferrets with fins" - African Cichlids. And (3 - nope....) 2 pooties too! Ren (crossed the Rainbow Bridge 10/19/10), Stimpy (16 yrs) and Rocky (4 yrs)

Our neighbor has an emergency natural gas generator.  I looked into them but they are NOT cheap at all.  Nice to have, but due to price and low utility they are waaaaaay down on the list of home improvements.

Next up: Insulated garage doors with the energy tax credit!  Beats the decaying things we have now.
