    It's almost certain we will lose the Senate in 2012.  That's not doomsaying, that's just the reality of the class that's up for re-election then.  

    We can take the House back to make up for it, but make sure we can live with any filibuster reform we implement now in 2012 as the minority party.

      won't make up for losing the senate at the same time.  If Obama is re-elected, he won't communicate with the House; he hasn't in the past two years, and I don't see that changing.  If a Republican is elected president in 2012, he certainly won't communicate with the House if the Dem's take it back.  The House is the people's chamber, and neither party apparently gives a damn about the vast majority of the people.

        so the GOP has to go along with at least some of what they pass if they want their pet projects funded. Not ALL spending is off-limits to the GOP and they should have to pay through the nose for what passes.
