  • about ridiculous names for them? (14+ / 0-)

Yes, we say silly things to pooties and woozles, but we also have silly names for them that have sort of stuck.

Our cats, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, for instance:
Tom is Moving Hazard, or just Hazard.
Huck is Stropalopagus, Pest, Pestilence, Pestiferous.

    And the woozles:
Sky is Bitty Dog, because at 47 pounds, she's the small one. We are soon to share our home with (temporarily) three and (permanently) two of those three little tiny woozles, Kris' (exmearden) canine next of kin, but I suspect Bitty will always still be Bitty, as she has since the age of 6 weeks.
Quinn is Bonehead Jr. (the original Bonehead was his uncle, still very much missed) or Mr. Dumb Dog. Now, he is not a dumb dog, not by a lot, but he gets a certain expression where he cocks his head slightly to the side and has his ears attentive where he earned that name.
Raven is Puppy Girl or Puppy Cute-Face. She is doing fine, apparently, although we won't know for sure that she has survived her misadventure that led to emergency surgery last night by the vet for another week to week and a half. Today she is up and around, eating and drinking - a positive sign indeed considering that her intestine was fully blocked and had to be opened up last night. Raven and Quinn are Flat-Coated Retrievers, and Flat-Coats will eat anything.

Living kidney donor needed; type B, O, or incompatible (with paired donation). Drop me a note (see profile).
