  •  I don't know about y'all (14+ / 0-)

But I've been riding my bike for years and have yet to see the socialist revolution.

On the bright side, my legs are rockin'!

Thanks for the diary. Good on your town for doing something sensible in spite of the crazies.

    P.S. I am not a crackpot.

joke about it -- but it's easy to see the socialist connection for anyone with their eyes open.

Take the Netherlands, for example.  They all ride bikes there -- the average bike ownership is actually more than 1 per capita.  Going back a bit in history, their bike culture made them an unusually easy target for Nazi invaders (who were obviously socialists.  It's right there in their name!).  More recently, it led to legalized pot, prostitution, gruesome accidents involving windmills that the liberal media won't tell you about, socialized medicine, and many other social ills.  I stand with the heroic Jonesboro geriatrics!

The bike/windmill accidents or connection to WWII didn't set off the snark meter?  Am I really that poorly regarded here after 7 years of daily posting? :)

          •  No offense (0+ / 0-)

I do not recognize everyone here, even long term posters. Sorry

            •  That's cool -- I don't expect (0+ / 0-)

people to recognize my handle, since I'm not a star diarist (I don't even know why I threw that line in there).  But you really weren't sure if I was seriously documenting the relationship between Holland's biking culture and their occupation during WWII?  I don't think Beck could even contrive something so absurd (well, then again. . .)
