he is William Jefferson Clinton. I have news. He's not. And this is not the 90's.

Why on earth would he "think he is William Jefferson Clinton"?

I'm pretty sure he's fully aware of who he is.

:sigh: Just another day at DailyRedstate...

      •  I think he has studied Clinton pretty well. (0+ / 0-)

And I don't think it was an accident that he had him down to the WH and let him, basically, run that press conference (which Clinton clearly enjoyed, and to be honest, I enjoyed watching him enjoy it). I think that Obama is a centrist, he's clearly proven it. And frankly, Clinton is a good man to learn from . They have a lot in common, especially in their consummate campaign savvy. I just think that Clinton is the wrong kind of guy to look towards right now, if you're looking to be a centrist. However, Clinton DID take on the GOP when he needed to. Obama has really yet to do it agressively. On the other hand, I have to say that the way HCR worked out was, in my opinion, politiacl genious, though many of us progressives were really outraged at the time.

Please don't think that I am not willing to give the President the benefit of the doubt. Of course I question stuff. But as I have said before, two years in politics is a very, very long time, and the Republicans will likely hoist themselves on their own petard in the next two years. Just in time, I think, for a successful re-election of the President.
