This country is on the verge of collapse.  Literally, in regard to our infrastructure, and literally in regard to our fiscal solvency.  The climate is spiraling out of control, and we may hit peak oil soon.  We have entered a globalized coporatocracy where there may be no middle class jobs left within these shores in 30 years unless we act.

This country desperately needs progressive governance or it will fail.  "Bridging divides", "making nice", "being the president of everyone" and "not stooping to the Republicans' level" is all feel good stuff, and maybe right for some other time, but it isn't going to save this country now.  Not with the opposition the way that it is.  Time is ticking.  The only acceptable outcome is progressive governance.

We are in a serious, desperate time, where it is the only outcome that matters, not the process.  Obama fails to grasp this.

We're letting massive opportunities  like solar, wind, rebuilding the grid, including HVDC go by the wayside, the wealthy can make boo koo bucks building the factories to make the panels and turbines.
