      In that case, they're pretty much where the FCC was a decade ago, and that will open up a lot more channels.

      I filed Comments in the original docket and the FCC's decision was very good.  I was not happy to see Congress mess things up.

      Of course a lot of people have taken things into their own hands... unlicensed (pirate) radio is going strong in many places. I'm amazed at how powerful "Hot 97" at 87.7 is in Boston, with wide metro coverage.  In spite of a recent FCC issuance of a $10,000 fine to its apparent owners.  It's a good station, very professional sound ("urban" format). Maybe had LPFM been available, they could have set it up legally, though they're now apparently  pumping a lot more than 100 watts.
