I think one of the most important misconceptions about the Corporations is, "Corporations = wealth = our wealth".  There seems to be this misconception that as long as the Corporations prosper, we will prosper right along with them.

Obama said the same thing recently; there was a Diary on that very subject (He just.doesn't.get.it) about 1 week ago.

The fact is, Corporations are now multi-national and they have no loyalty whatsoever to countries or borders.  Their only real loyalty is to their Tax haven in the Cayman islands or the Caribbean.

We have the proof: corporations are making more money than ever before.  At the same time, Americans are losing jobs, their homes, their families, their way of life; it's becoming more urgent with each passing day.

Great Diary, LF.  There is a lot of information in the links.  Thx

the whole "supply side" crap just like the Repugs. The sad fact is that businessmen are not in business to give us jobs. They are in business to make money -- for THEMSELVES, not for us.

If supply-side ideology were actually true, then since, as you point out, the rich have more money now than they ever have, we should all be sailing yachts on our "rising tides".  Instead, we get shit on.

We are "expenses" to the business owners--nothing more. And they will always do whatever they can to reduce their expenses.
