    Because really, does this sound any different than something Chomsky or Zinn would write?  

    Would the arguments all of a sudden be more valid or the facts more truthful if they were presented by Chomsky or Zinn?

    •  Author biases should be examined (0+ / 0-)

      It's absurd to say we should isolate everything we know about an author from their work when reading them.

      For example, Chomksy is a manipulative rhetorician who routinely uses his uncanny mastery of language to twist facts to suit his broader narrative. Knowing this tic, I am able to read Chomksy and learn from him without uncritically gobbling up everything he writes regardless of its merit. One should approach Fukyyama with the same attitude (although his flaws are quite larger and more numerous than Chomksy's)
