    ...I've heard people offer up quite the stew of theories, a large number of which let Libya off the hook completely. Since Libya is now one of America's new best friends - having the greatest reservoir of oil in Africa helps - high-level CIA officials meet with high-level Libyan intelligence officials (the deputy head of the CIA, for instance, met at least twice with Musa Kusa, now Libya's foreign minister but for more than  decade Gadhafi's head of intelligence). As for Libyan human-rights violations, the U.S. now turns a blind eye.

      considering the long record of western intelligence agencies it would be naive not to at least minimally consider they might create/hype enemies with their own terrorism. planes are great for that, with whatever evidence that might be left being analyzed by similar specialized agencies....

      Progressives will lose all major messaging battles until they picket the limbaugh/hannity megastations and boycott those stations' local sponsors.
