  •  Some libraries only allow 1/2 hr. (9+ / 0-)

on a desktop (for those which don't offer WiFi).

My library three doors from me up the street only has three desktops; you have to sign in via a ring-binder; wait for anyone who's ahead of you; and there's a 1/2 limit (unless it's dead, and nobody wants one, etc.).

Try accomplishing anything online in 1/2 hr.!

In addition, they close at 5:00PM; and aren't open Sat. afternoons, and are closed Sundays.

Many rural towns have no public libraries at all; and fuggetabout public access via coffee shops, etc.

It's exhausting at times just to remain connected to the globe (let alone, to accomplish anything substantial)!

    •  Bingo. You've got it. Plus if you can't use (1+ / 0-)

your upload diskdrives it means retyping entirely material you've prepared before.

I didn't realize how many time I recycle even comments here, with adaptations.

Everything slows down, if you have to retype it everytime.
