    I'd be interested in the source for the weight of horses from that period. I would have thought that horses from that time would have been Prezwalski/tarpan type animals that we see in Lasceaux, those animals would have been a max of about 700 lb, on the hoof. No evidence I've heard of had horses in the megafauna range of size, they didn't start getting taller or more gracile until humans stated selectively breeding about 6000 years ago. Could be another hole in my education. :-)
