    here to do some homework on another (entirely unrelated) subject :

    You might have been better to speak in terms of the "Mytholization" or "Mythologizing" of the Holocaust--to speak in terms of "myth" puts you in league with the Holocaust deniers--and that's not where you want to be.

    As I've pointed out in a number of comments, the argument you present is a valid one--and one that's been made by any number of fine and highly regarded scholars. Should you choose to pursue it, build on their work and know that the subject is ALWAYS going to ruffle feathers. It is for that reason that you must be verrrrrrry meticulous in citing sources and delineating your arguments step by step by step by step.
