  •  I don't think of Marcion as antisemtic (0+ / 0-)

    He was very opposed to the view of God as held by the Jews, the wrathful dictatorial father figure, which he identified with the Gnostic Demiurge, a demonic figure. He edited the gospels to excise the presence of the brutal justice principles of the Old Testament.  I think that is a worthwhile project, not just for Christians, but particularly for Jews and Muslims, who still labor in the worship of this wicked deity. More generally, to me Marcion stands for unabashed heresy and disregard for established truths and authorities.

    You criticize others for not being familiar with Marcion, but you only have the most superficial and glib knowledge of him yourself, just the label of antisemite borrowed from a wiki.
