It was quite a moving eulogy, with humor, no less. I just got off the phone with my oldest and dearest friend. We met 40 years ago when I was 11 and she was 12. We're over 600 miles apart, still in the same state, CA, and we talk at least weekly. I'll prolly be calling more often, after reading this. You never really know.

As I've crept into the "old woman yells at clouds" age bracket I that there are old friends getting sick and/or dying much more often than I like it.  I've been sick myself quite a bit in the last few years.  It prods me to remember the people I love and to tell them I love them.
