    Beautiful , sad song , Anderson has a sweet voice like a couple of my male cousins. I will have to get that CD . Dad and I heard that the first time for both of us years ago driving back from deer hunting in south Alabama .He pulled the truck off on the shoulder to listen better. He had only done that once before - when The Beatles' "Hey Jude" came on the radio the first time he heard it , LOL!

    Many said it loudly , yet it's still not true.

      I used to live just north of Micanopy.  I can remember hearing this song for the first time, and having to sit down for a bit, because it hit me that hard.

      A herpetologist friend was out working just ahead of bulldozers trying to rescue and relocate gopher tortoises.  I can think of twenty other things from when I lived in Florida that were heartbreaking like that.

      Then the BP oil disaster broke.
