  •  Perhaps rephrase it to "what are you DOING to (4+ / 0-)

create jobs Mr. Boehner" as a parry to Boehner's focus on activities aimed at destroying the Obama administration instead of on anything constructive.

Even that is risky messaging, as Boehner & Co. will try to position everything they do as creating jobs.  e.g. their ridiculous naming of their bill to repeal healthcare--it's something like Repeal of the Job-Killing Obamacare Bill.

They have the biggest message machine, with all the right wing radio stations and Fox Noise, so these far-fetched claims can take hold with a lot of people.

If we seem to look to them as to "where the jobs are," we're contributing to their narrative that what they are doing is what is increasing the number of jobs--and the jobs will increase over the next two years, during Boner's tenure.

Some people fight fire with fire. Professionals use water.

I understand what you're saying, I just don't agree with it.

per the FP, the jobs picture brightened considerable just today. Which happens to be the day the republicans take the House.
I would imagine FoxNooze is crowing about that "republican achievement" already, and reminding us that it happened in spite of the president's "job-killing socialamism".
I would further imagine the snoozers at the rest of the nutworks will mindlessly repeat this coincidance as a proven fact.

        •  That's so intellectually dishonest on its face (0+ / 0-)

I can't imagine it wouldn't be at least good comedian fodder.

          •  Clarifying - trying to make the claim that the (0+ / 0-)

GOP is responsible for good jobs number in the month of November is intellectually dishonest.

            Just sayin :-)

The whole thing falls flat when you cheat like that, granny...
              Of course it's nonsense.
So was "government by Dow" in the spring of '09. But for a couple of weeks, that's exactly what took place on Fox and at least one other nutwork.
for that matter, so is "tax cuts pay for themselves", "Deficits don't matter (until they can be blamed on democrats)" and a host of other bald-faced, over-the-top, right outta frickin' Pluto whoppers we have been relentlessly subjected to since at least the Gingrich era.
Sorry, but I don't share your optimism that sufficient numbers will dismiss insanity as to render it ineffective.
witness another FP post on Issa stating that 'corrupt" means broken.
They are as shameless as they are Machiavellian, and their base eats anything they wrap in a Red cover, including stale dog poop.
