  •  When I said that 68 should be the age (0+ / 0-)

for full benefits, the age for reduced benefits might still be kept at 62 so those who do hard physical labor can collect Soc Sec at that age as so many now do these days. And 74 is not really old for lawyers, belive me,there are lots of us still active way beyond 74. My father practiced law until he was 83.

Early retirement for public employees is killing us here in New Jersey and in New York. Police in NJ can retire with 25 years on the job and get a lifetime pension with full health benefits. Lets say a young person becomes a cop at 24,at 49 he gets his pension, and has a life expectancy of many years, great for him,not so great for us long suffering New Jersey taxpayers. Andrew Cuomo and Jerry Brown are going to have to deal with the public employees in New York and California. I am very curious to see how they will differ with GOP Gov.Chris Christie in New Jersey. I have a feeling that the public employee unions are going to wind up hating them about as much as they hate Christie in the Garden State.
