  •  thing is, this kind of hypocrisy isn't noticed if (6+ / 0-)

you don't have 1000 radio stations to blast it all over the country until it is noticed. imagine if the shoe was on the other foot. hell, they make up lies to get it going and distract from true shit if they want. by the time the left notice it's too late.

that's why republicans are even in the game.

obama admin seems to be learning, announcing staff changes to coincide with the new congress theatrics, and defense cuts. but they only get short term value.

this is ridiculous and won't change until the left figures it out.

Progressives will lose all major messaging battles until they picket the limbaugh/hannity megastations and boycott those stations' local sponsors.

The left really need to make a concerted effort to take issues such as this one, and write LtE's to their local newspapers.  This issue, for example, is a perfect jumping off point to frame a short essay around two Republican hypocrisies: health care, and transparency.

While it's not 1000 radio stations, it's not close to being meaningless either.

      •  that definitely helps but works better in a real (0+ / 0-)

democracy where normal feed back mechanisms aren't routinely short circuited because the local RW radio station reaches a larger audience and can rationalize the hypocrisy all day long for as long as it takes.

most people dont read letters to editor, and they only keep a paper one day in most cases.  However Rush and fox, and other right wing talkers got 24 hours a day, every day, every week , every month, every year, to hammer something till eventually almost everybody hears it.  I will say again , that we need fairness doctrin or our own stations.  What we are doing now isnt working.
