      Yes, Amazon deleted books it had no right to sell from the Kindles of people who left their devices connected and accessible to Kindle. I still have my - what must be termed 'bootleg' - copy of 1984 because I archived it. Not archiving is equivalent to leaving your belongings in 'the cloud', and e-books are no different from any other e-content in that regard.
