    he was politically aware, it seems, but had his own political thing goin' on there.

    Another reason guns should not be made so readily available. Without a gun, this guy probably just would have had noticeable breakdown and got some help.

    Not sure where his parents were in all of this.

      really, it's important to stop focusing on the weapon. Without a gun he could have done dozens of potentially worse things that I refuse to detail as I prefer not to give anyone ideas. The problem is thinking you can kill people if you don't agree with their politics. It's the rhetoric of inflamation. And likely it didn't stop at the politicians. How often did he hear dehumanizing things said about Dems in his daily life?

      That's the key. Once you become convinced that 'they' aren't as valuable as 'we' are, not as human, etc. Then you can give yourself permission to kill someone. It's that rhetoric that must end.
