    I was pulling hard on a stuck drawer in the ol' memory bank.

    I was trying to think of all the assassinations since Lincoln as I wrote...
    the only one I could come up with that was purely political, and committed by a sane person, was Lincoln's. Booth was furious, but he wasn't crazy.

    Burned hit it- the biggest reason is Fame and Glory. That's what they all want.

    One exception was the assassination of former Idaho Gov. Stunenberg ca.1910- Harry Orchard killed him for money, but the trial could never prove just who hired him.

    Right many are called, and damn few are chosen.
