    thought about politics in his life, it doesn't mean we can't have a national conversation about political rhetoric. it's gotten too heated. too many vandals, name-calling, spitting on congressmen, bringing guns to rallies, hitting gas lines (mistakenly believed to be a congressman's), death threats, etc etc. it's a toxic environment.

        the comparison between dailykos and elected leaders is logical. but i'm glad we agree that the tenor needs to change, nationally.

        owe to our country to try to something about it.  We control ourselves and what we say.  All of us as individuals choose what to write and say.  If we commit to trying to make a difference ourselves, then at least we know that we have done what we could.

        We cannot control the otherside.  We will just have to have faith that the American people will at some point get sick of their rhetoric and ignore them.  If not, well, shit.  At least we tried.
