  •  Disorderly doesn't take Humphrey's cooperation. (6+ / 0-)

DA can bring it on the theory Fuller endangered others present.

    •  ben... how is it possible that a man (23+ / 0-)

with a camera is locked up and involuntarily committed to a mental institution when the Becks and Palins and Limbaughs and Coulters say far far worse and suffer no retribution?

It's because Fuller said this face-to-face to a politician while Fox media disburses the rightwing vitriolic hate via the airwaves. Guess that makes it "second-hand" hate or something.

is based on the risk of a brawl breaking out then and there.

all you want, but your phoniness doesn't get to slap the tired refrain "false equivalency" around the site.

You're lazy in your arguments. Got nothing better?

that call for someone to be "Dead". Seriously.

If you are we can throw everything you have ever said about false equivalence right out the window.

It doesn't matter what stripes this dude wears. Violent threats made in public against officials should be condemned. Period.

Repeated something that he saw in a movie or in an ad.

What he did with that camera and those words has been done before. It was passive-aggressive, but it was not a death threat.

Of course, you totally lack any balance in your observations since Beck or Savage or Coulter can blatantly call for murder and it isn't a catastrophe in your playbook.

                Unbelievable hypocricy.

I completely disassociate myself from your repugnant false equivalency when it comes to condemning threats of violence against a public official.

and application of guilt upon this veteran who simply had a camera and tasteless words.

The NYT totally bombed the article. They conveniently left out the part about the camera. They conveniently inserted language that was never spoken by the Republican.

This man has been judged and tried in a court of public opinion without true facts. And your arrogant attempts at snobbery and propagating the untruths doesn't change anything.

                    Got it.

Thankfully this diary is off the rec list now.

No doubt drudge has saved it to highlight liberal hypocrisy.

a mental facility over passive-aggressive behavior.

Beck has yet to be arrested or involuntarily committed for blatant violent rhetoric which has influenced violence.

There is no equivalency remotely out there.

The rightwing second-hand hate fed via Fox media is their teflon coating.

      •  it is bullshit (0+ / 0-)

but not surprising...not this close to the shooting.

My guess is that he did it to show someone like Humphrey's who was blaming Giffords what it felt like to have the threat (bullseye) placed over his head.

But, he maybe needed help and this was his way of asking for it.  Don't know.  Hopefully he gets the help he needs, learns that threats are always inappropriate regardless of intent...and Humphrey's et al realize and admit that the bullshit they spout DOES have consequences and that blaming the victim is never appropriate.
