    "She was wearing a short skirt so she deserved to get raped" and "he shouldn't have called so and so's mom a filthy hoar if he didn't want to get hit". In the one scenario you're blaming the victim of a violent crime, in the other scenario the person initiated a confrontation, when the other party escalated it.
