  •  I watched the whole show today. (3+ / 0-)

The Town Hall meeting was a wonderful event.
Feelings and emotions were shared, eyeswitness accounts of participants, discussions of bonding amongst those involved, the light shone on the best impulses of human beings, and a discussion of what constitutes a "hero."

When the man from the Tea Party Express spoke, I wondered, "What is that guy doing there?"

His argument was out of place and clearly specious. He was saying that the talk of remedies to this situation which flowed naturally from a discussion of the events, should be tabled fornow out of "respect" for the victims.
The real reason to put it off though is to ensure that remedies don't happen, that the spirit of taking action would soon die, and they can return to the status quo (bullshit).

If I were wounded in this event and I heard one of these turds bringing his phoniness and his lies into this very positive, rational discussion, I'd be pissed too.

But Mr. Fuller should not have said what he said to Mr. Hmphries, no matter how pissed off he was.
I can sympathize with the man, but I could never excuse it.
There is a context here, but the authorities are correct to take swift and strong action in this instance, particularly in light of what just happened in their community.

One would hope that Mr. Fuller understands where he went wrong, explains himself, and apologizes to Mr. Humphries, ans assures him that he means him no harm.
