  •  Thanks for the lesson (6+ / 0-)

I've never fully explored this place in the 5 or 6 years I've been here, which is why dk4 is intimidating because I think I might be forced to in order to keep up.

I use RSS for nearly everything except DK.

I can scan all the blogs and other sites I prefer all at one go for the newest stuff.

    •  One easy thing you can do on DK3 to get ready (8+ / 0-)

One easy thing you or anyone else can do on DK3 that I think will really help when DK4 comes around: subscribe to your favorite authors on DK3. It's my understanding those subscribe settings will get carried over to DK4 as if you're "following" those authors, and they'll automatically show up in your integrated stream. If you all haven't checked out your integrated stream over at DK4 - whoa doggie, it is one slick piece of work and I think folks will like it a lot once they see what it's doing. Login to DK4 with your DK3 account credentials and click the "Stream" link in your profile box on the left. It shows you a single list of diaries from all the authors and groups and even tags that you're following.

transfer over. DK4 totally intimidates me, but I know that part of that is I'm so comfortable here I'm too damn lazy to slide from my comfort zone. But, I'll get there :)
