It is not what happened in this case.

myself. While the spot was iffy on that play, if the o-line was two feet ahead of where they should have been, the d-line guys and coaches would have surely noticed, along with a few thousand fans.

My Lions were hurt by bad calls on crucial plays in a couple of games and would have beaten the overrated mighty Bears twice this season were it not for poor calls by the refs. But whining about shit like this, and trying to call it cheating, just makes you look like a sore loser.

Suck it up. There's always next year. Us Lions fans know about next year.

At the :28 mark the nose of the ball is just barely across the 14 yard hash mark.  At 1:11 it is up about 6 inches.  At 1:25 it is now up two feet past the 14.  And by the time they snapped the ball, (see around 1:33) the center had the nose of it almost reaching the first down line.  How this did not get called is an enormous mystery unless one accepts the theory that the refs were on the stealers side.

the center at least is lined up offside, as well as both tackles. It looks like they got away with it because of the delay caused by the attempted challenge of the original spot.

          I stand corrected.
