Anti-choice folks and homophobes are convinced that their religious views should outweigh an individual's opportunity to live his or her own life.  Whether you call them "haters" or simply identify them as people who don't believe in individual rights, they're cut from the same cloth.

I don't see any meaningful distinction between them.

I happen to be pro-choice, but I've always respected those folks who are anti-abortion, because I see it as being an intensely personal matter.

I'm not, by any means, talking about people who bring harm to abortion providers or shove pickets in women's faces at abortion clinics. Those folks, too, are haters.

I'm simply talking about abortion as being the private matter it ideally should be. That's all. I didn't mean to anger anyone.

As in, thinking that their own personal views would not allow them to have an abortion (or would counsel against it) but still recognizing that others can have different views.

So, it's really about being pro- or anti-choice, because that's the real issue: do women have the opportunity to make choices for themselves or not?  Similarly, people can have deeply held religious beliefs that being gay is wrong and yet be supportive of laws that prohibit discrimination against gays, etc.

I was speaking of abortion in personal terms, not as a matter of government dictating what women are allowed to do.

So, viewing the issue through that prism, as a personal choice, I don't think there's a wrong or right answer when it comes to abortion. It's a personal matter.
