  •  Blame the rules on that one (0+ / 0-)

    That wasn't a blown call.

that the "process" entered into it at all.  The process was complete.  He caught it; he went down; he maintained control.

      •  Well, you're in the minority I believe (0+ / 0-)

It's been a few months, but the consensus is that the rule was properly applied, as I recall.  And, that it is a sucky rule that robbed the Lions of what most people would have believed to be a valid touchdown (but for the rule).

      •  We Bears fans didn't think so, either. (1+ / 0-)

We were happy to take the call, but we were all befuddled by it, too.

That said, the Lions showed some signs of life in the last weeks. Can they finally capitalize on that for next season?

could have easily been 10-6 instead of 6-10. They beat the Jets badly for 58 minutes. Both Chicago games should have been W's, Philly, the first GB game...

Their offense is loaded with weapons. They have one of the best D-lines in the league. One more draft and a couple of free agents, and these guys are back.

As I recall, the Lions and Packers suffered the most time lost by starters this year. One team was lucky enough to squeeze into the playoffs despite that.

The Lions were without their starting QB for most of the season, plus injuries at just about every other position you can name. The Packers have amazing depth. I'm not really a Pack fan, but my hat is off to those guys. They're playing very good football now, when it counts.

I hope they beat the overrated Bears like a borrowed mule.
