    However, it's a different standard than in the US. So you can't just take your Verizon phone there and swap sim cards like you could with GSM.

    Also- the AT&T version of the IPhone is also GSM. You could unlock it, and it would be as good as any other GSM phone. So it's not anything unique to Nokia.
